Whether you joined us in person, worked with our tools in your own space, or followed along from a distance, this year was shaped by your practice—by how light is actually used, trusted, and lived with over time.
We began the year in Shanghai during Lunar New Year, gathering at a moment marked by renewal and continuity. It was a reminder that progress does not require constant reinvention, but care, rhythm, and respect for craft.

From trade show moments at WPPI, Imaging USA and BILD to lighting labs and photo experiences, moments mattered because of your support.

We also participated in broader conversations shaping the creative field. The Human Algorithm, hosted at Chief, explored the role of AI in authorship and perception in a rapidly shifting technological landscape. The goal was not to predict the future, but to remain grounded in what keeps creative work human.

Our partnership with the International Center of Photography reflected a similar intention. Through the symposium Through the Light of Hope and hands-on lighting workshops, we focused on the transformative power of light and visual storytelling, technique and decision-making.

Film offered another lens into that idea. The Light We Carry, created with Kylie Shea and in collaboration with Blackmagic Design, examined light as something embodied—how it moves with the body, supports expression, and shapes experience beyond the frame.

Across the year, we continued to meet the community at B&H BILD, Adobe MAX, and through collaborations with artists and educators. Each engagement was guided by a simple question: does this help people do their work with more ease and intention?

In parallel, we refined the tools themselves.
Atom, Sol 40, and Sol 100 were introduced with the same priority our customers ask for most—consistency, reliability, and control that feels intuitive rather than intrusive.
Signature editions developed with Mark Mann and Corbin Gurkin reflected years of lived practice, translating real-world needs into form.

Collaborations with Pat Domingo for Glamour’s Women of the Year, with Nigel Barker, and with artists across disciplines reinforced why this work matters. Light, when done well, supports dignity. It gets out of the way and lets the subject come forward.

None of this work exists in isolation.
Throughout 2025, we had the privilege of collaborating with artists, educators, filmmakers, photographers, and partners whose perspectives, rigor, and generosity shaped the conversations we were able to host—and the tools we continue to build.
We’re deeply grateful for the trust, time, and shared practice of everyone who worked alongside us this year.
